Hark the Herald Angels Sing

This came up twice in the movie.

Demon posing as nun listens to Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Why that song in particular? There are plenty to chose from and HTHAS was an interesting choice.

Does anyone know if there was a secondary message there or connection within the film?

Could it just be a reference to Lorraines mention of seeing and believing in angels? Or is it just random contrast to mess up our senses as we watch?

Any thoughts?

For a moment I thought it was Adeste Fideles but reversed.
