i was really amazed by this movie, the scares,the drama, the depth of family themes, the creepy atmosphere, the character development, the script, the performances, the relation between ed and lorraine, the twist of who's being the real evil and why janet faked the haunting, james wan did an amazing job!

exactly and that's the best thing about it, it's that great sequel that kept the very same high level of the original and managed to exceed it in some parts.
shareI had a rewatch of the original two nights ago, and I have to say, it's boring in comparison. 2 is so much better, and one of those very rare cases where the "sequel" outdoes the original.

i think both are amazing but the 2nd one is slightly better.
