Lots of...
Just got finished watching this movie on "In Demand" and found a lot of it downright laughable.
Lots and lots of screaming and running around. People and things thrown through the air. Lots of hugging and crying. Lots of lights flashing on an off.
Whenever a character approaches or runs to a door, the door will slam shut.
Whenever a character enters a room alone, the door will slam shut behind them.
Lots of scenes of people stuck to walls and ceilings, just like in the first movie.
So much overkill and over the top activity, there's no way any of it is believable. All we needed was a portal to another dimension and a psychic saying, "this house is clean."
I wonder if those people were really British or just putting on the accents.
You'd think if they knew an easy chair was haunted, they'd get rid of the chair.
You can bet if someone's standing in water, something will either pull them down or attack them.
Did I mention lots of screaming?
The only effective scene, in my opinion, was where the nun painting seemed to actually emerge from the blackness when the lights went out.
I hope there isn't a Conjuring 3, because this one took so much from the first and ratcheted it up to the nth degree.
