The Two Conjuring Films Got Pretty Good Ratings

The first Conjuring film went above 8 stars when it came out, and now it's at 7.5.

Conjuring 2 is at 7.6

The original classic Exorcist rating is 8.0

With this many voters providing support for the two films, why should anyone believe the haters? I've seen the first film twice, and it's worth the 7.5 and the second film will arrive in the mail in two days.

Any possibility the haters are exaggerationists [again...] in their usual classic form when it comes to assessing films? Especially horror.

For those of you that are haters...exactly...which horror films did you watch that you actually liked? lol

Or will this degenerate into a 'Asian films are so much better' quibble.

This film was awful! And no, Asian Horror is not better, Asian Horror is VERY overrated and most of it are really idiotic. The horror films that are actually good and that I do like are: It Follows, The Witch, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and a few others.

I spent the Conjuring 2 trying to guess the next jump scare because it was more entertaining than the movie. There was no threat to the main characters because I knew the Warrens were hacks that lived into their 80's. In a few months, I will forget the Conjuring 2.

The Conjuring 1 had one scene slightly more memorable.
I remember a vomiting, smiling and spinning head.
I remember Bruce Willis realizing he's a ghost.
I remember wondering who the Thing is.
I will remember a pop-up book more than this movie or it's predecessor.

I'll be a hater if you want me to. These movies were better than most horror movies out there (recently); but they were forgettable. They rely on jump scares (esp. #2).

Ratings? Meh.

Asian horror? America already adapted it.
