Simon Pegg and Lake Bell make the film enjoyable.

Though Man Up celebrates spontaneity, it typically decides to keep things held pretty close to the book, especially as it nears its conclusion. But as is often the case in the romantic comedy genre, the story is hardly ever all that important. It doesn’t hurt to have the confident, charming compatibility of our two exceptionally personable leads, Lake Bell and Simon Pegg: though. http://www.cutprintfilm.com/?p=25408

The point that made enjoyable this movie is that there is a chemistry between pegg and bell which is very rare to happen in rom-com of last years.

They definitely had some awesome chemistry! And Bell was very believable as an English woman!

I think her accent was a bit off and forced. I would have rather her do her regular quirky American accent instead. I still enjoyed the film but they could have just made her an American just as easy with her true accent , and it would have been easy to work into the script somehow of her background about why she is in London. Anyway I liked it all except for that accent. It wasn't horrible and un passable, just a bit weird to hear and a bit forced to me personally.

love Simon Pegg and I have been a fan of Lake Bell forever. She is a beautiful, delightful and very talented comedienne. Not to mention writer and director. Why isn't she a bigger star?

" Why isn't she a bigger star? "

Because she looks more like a man than like a woman!
