So Do you think they will maintain the plot intregrity

Book Spoilers, obviously, in the book, Langdon FAILS to stop the outbreak of the virus, and instead of being a uber deadly kill 50% of the population virus, the virus is instead more "humane" and simply causes sterility in 33% of the population, and is a inheratable gene alteration though fancy sciencey stuff.

so do you think they will maintain that, or will they choose to make lang don the hero who stops the plot?

It's likely, for both good and bad reasons.

Good: Movies are a different medium from books. So the ponderous (in a good way) ending of the book and its implications for the future cannot be readily transplanted to the silver screen, save by a fast forward to several points in the future after the big revelation.

Bad: It's too open-ended, and modern audiences need a easily digestible ending. So a 180 degree change is the kind of mathematical answer test audiences would suggest, and unimaginative MBA's behind studios and producers would likely implement...

Hmm, the ending is the only redeeming quality of the book. Considering the screen adaptations of the series are awful enough, removing the only significant bit from the plot would be the last nail in the coffin.

From scenes of the trailer the last part in the Cistern will be different from the book. You can see Langdon fighting someone in the water and a big exposion which don't happen in the book.
