Help from bookreaders

So ive read davinci, angels, but not lost symbol nor inferno. Would i need to read lost symbol to understand the inferno book AND movie? (Im assuming no for the movie bc they didnt make the LS film)

reply

No not at all separate stories which from what I remember no reoccurring characters apart from Langdon. IMO I would have preferred lost symbol as I think it is s better book than inferno.

reply

Lost symbol wasn't a great novel and inferno was too similar to symbol for me. I stopped reading inferno 1/4 of the way in because it's the exact same formula every time with different settings and characters. I probably won't bother with another brown novel and I have read all of them, finished inferno a year after starting it because I just made myself because of what it cost

reply

Unless you're talking Dante's Inferno...you don't have to have read rear in order to understand the Book anyway. Langdon explains much of the Dante trilogy but Inferno in particular, so no studying is required.

reply

No. Langdon books are largely independent of each other with only a few references here and there. As far as I remember, there is no carryover from TLS to Inferno.
