Is it Any Good?

(To Those Who've Seen It)
There'll be another week before the release of Inferno in my country, but I don't know how much longer I can wait. - As a fan of the originals and movie adaptations, I want to know your personal thoughts on the movie.
How faithful is it to the book?

reply

Just watched it. It is okay, same style as the others so if you liked DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons you will probably like it too.

As for the faithfulness to the book? While it's been a while and I don't remember some things from the book, the movie does follow it mostly but completely changes the ending.

reply

I couldn't agree more. I was very happy with the movie, but the ending angered me a lot and left me unsatisfied when I left the cinema. I found the ending one of the strongest parts of the book, so I looked forward to it a lot.

This is what I'm hoping for. Thank you.

I found the ending to be satisfying, even after they changed it which left me scathing. You can read my review on the link. It was a disaster saved by a few things.

Tom Hanks did a solid acting job, I enjoyed his performance. Other than that, I must say that I was bored most of the time. There was very little suspense in my opinion, just people running around. Omar Sy was terribly underused. Nope, I didn't like it, but then, I wasn't too happy with the first 2 instalments either. I'm a Tom Hanks fan, I went to see it because of him. The films premise with Zobrist's intentions was pretty cool I must say, I agree about the population problem.
