First time I was rooting for the bad guy SPOILERS!
I just read that the book ending is different than the film ending. Since I've only seen the movie, I will talk about that.
The whole idea of Zobrist trying to "murder" a lot of people on earth, didn't seem so bad at all. He did make a good statement that we are overpopulated and it will go to hell soon.
