Everyone who has not and/or has no intention of reading the novel, are going to hate this movie's ending.
FYI, I read the book. Not only did I love the ending, I agreed with it.
I just don't understand why would they have to change it.. the ending in the book is great.. it sends a message and it completely different from the film.. I didn't hate the film just thought that the change in the ending was unnecessary.

In the book this virus supposedly randomly sterilized 75% of the population or something like that. With this world being severely overpopulated, if something like this were to actually happen, I'd have been the guy who said, "why should we do anything about stopping it?" Even if it may affect me.
