How the hell does Ron Howard keep messing these Robert Langdon films?

I have all the Dan Brown books and this one is actually my favorite. I am sort of afraid to watch this movie, because of that.
So no, i wouldnt say the books are bad. Maybe not literairy masterpieces. I guess they are hard to adapt to the big screen like books often are.
Me too, as I am a shameful Dan Brown fam, I was afraid of how they were going to change the story for the film.
That being said, and I'm sorry to say this, but they changed the ending. What I liked about the book was that Zobrist was more than just a world-ending villain, he had succeeded in his plan, but it came with a positive and humane note. But nooo, they made him a straight-up villain.
The book ending would have been a wonderful wrap up to the film trilogy. Such a shame.
"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"
The question is not simply how, but WHY they LET him continually ruin the langdon stories
