"The Answer' Discussion

Well, that was interesting!

Once again I wish this was a full length show, which would've given Ruby & Sapphire's relationship more depth.

As I'd hoped, there were more Gems...unfortunately, most of them were just anonymous background silhouettes .
Though at least it was nice to meet Blue Diamond, even if it wasn't fully. I REALLY wasn't expecting that!  (and another Pearl to boot. No wonder ours' rebelled!)

Though did anyone else find Garnet's first look unintentionally hilarious? I know it was their first time and she had a very different personality, but...all I could see was a cotton candy ballerina clown! 

Just before they fused the second time, it sounded like they were humming the tune from Stronger Than You. That was so sweet!

I really loved this episode.

They were, and it had me randomly humming it to myself for the past hour and a half.

"Forget about how I feel, how you feel is bound to be far more interesting."

Oh god, this everything.

I kinda like that the Homeworld Gems are still kinda hidden at the moment, same with Homeworld being only seen in an imagined form. This is, after all, a story about the unnatural on Earth, and I'm happy for the story to stay mostly earthbound until the finale.

Blue Diamond remains relatively unknown but intriguing. I wonder, if she does make a future appearance in person, who is going to voice her?

It's magnificent how Rose pulls off both 'terrifying' and 'big-hearted' reputations.

As adorable as Young Circus Garnet is, I'm happier with Black Afro Bad-Ass Garnet.

BirthdayBomb is off to a magnificent start. Now for four more nights of maximum heartache! (sorry, 'the feels' doesn't work for my vocabulary).

Final Note: RELEASE A *beep* SOUNDTRACK AWREADY.

Loved this episode. Its particularly interesting to see that some gems are more rare than others...

We know that our Pearl is a particularly fancy yet still flawed one. BUT, we also got to see another Pearl, for once. She seemed plain and slightly unkempt. It seemed as though she wanted to get involved in Sapphire and Blue Diamond's discussion but "knew her place."

It is quite surprising to see that the Crystal Gems only had 2 members. I would have loved to see there being more than just Rose Quartz and Pearl. It would have added to the unspoken sorrow that many of Rose's army were killed and forcibly fused...

I don't think it was just Rose and Pearl, otherwise they would've been described as a pair of rebels instead of a small group.
