I'm worried about season 3 just like with Gravity Falls. Both are great shows and it sickens me that garbage like Teen Titans Go! and Pickle and Peanut will outlast the good shows because our world is a joke, anymore.

It was renewed in July for a third season, so I don't think we have to worry.
With Adventure Time coming to an end soon, I'm thinking CN is going to be looking to this show to anchor the network while its up and coming projects find their footing.
If there is any real worry over the show, I'm betting it'll be more in a Gravity Falls capacity where the creator does have an endgame in mind and the show ends up being say, 3 or 4 seasons long which is a good but difficult thing to adjust too.
I was just talking to someone about this - I really hope it doesn't just end. There is definitely an endgame in the story. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled before it can finish the story.
shareI don't think it'll get cancelled. The network just finished putting the final touches in place to secure merchandising in the form of toys and figurines, while the comics and the merchandise on the official site are being added to daily.
Not to mention they are trying to do as much press for the show as possible, like having just sent Zach Callison out to a convention in Australia plus the recent book release by Rebecca Sugar and the upcoming books set to be released sometime during the rest of Season 2. On top of that, the mobile app was one of the best/downloaded games of the year in IIRC Google's list of best apps.
The question we should be asking is whether or not Steven Universe is a story that can be told in 4 seasons or 6?
Sometimes, it's better to end on a high note. Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls, DECIDED to end it on his own terms. I love Gravity Falls (I even think it's arguably better than SU) and I want to see more, but I think he did the right thing. Just look at other shows that didn't get stopped like The Simpsons. It started off great, but got run into the ground and it's begging for mercy. Steven Universe is one of the shows that should be ended on its own term. It should end probably after they defeat Yellow Diamond since she's the big bad behind the curtains. What can you do after that? Maybe they make an epilogue at the end of the series finale or follow what Avatar:TLA did and make a graphic novel continuation. I'm sorry to say this, but we've only have a few more years of Steven Universe. We should enjoy it while it lasts.
