Do you think three seasons will be enough to finish the story?
With the way the story in Steven Universe is going, I can see the show coming to a close after the third season which has yet to air. What do you think?

shareI think that since Cartoon Network refuses to air the series in any logical manner, the remaining part of season 2 and all of season 3 will take 5 years to air.
Enough? Not with the amount of pause and filler they've been using. Just off the top of my head:
1. Need more Rose & Greg. Personally, I want to know if Greg knew Rose would 'die' giving birth to Steven or if she kept that from him.
2. Need Amethyst backstory. All we really know is she was a late bloomer from the kindergarten.
3. Need Pearl backstory. Hers hasn't been showcased hardly at all.
4. Need Lapis backstory. We know jack about Lapis other than at some point some Crystal Gems (apparently not anyone we know) trapped her in a mirror.
5. Need more rebellion/war backstory. There's a lot they've never told Steven because they think he's not ready.
6. Need more diamond/Homeworld backstory.
I could probably go on if I sat here and thought about it for awhile. Unless CN gives SU the axe I can see it continuing for several more seasons. I don't see how they could possibly wrap everything up in just one more.
Though, having typed that all out I realize I'm much more interested in the past than the future. Maybe if they only focused on future events it could be done in just one more season.
Wow, all good points. Unless there's no filler from here on out, I can't see how everything you mentioned will be addressed in a season and a half.
shareNot with the half-a-show format, I'm afraid
If it were a full length show, maybe. But not the way things are.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if it got more seasons like a lot of the other half-a-shows have done.
(even though CN doesn't care for SU as much as the others...)
