Huh, Pearl reacted better to last night's events than I thought (the end of the episode.... not so much). And she's taken over Mrs. Puff's 'Good Noodle' system! (Does this make Lion the class pet?)

Also, Ice Bear has invaded Steven's video game.
("Ice Bear was promised residuals.")

Great, now we have a Holo-Pearl army. Screw the Diamonds, that's the scariest threat of all.

What a relief that this didn't turn out to be the standard kind of 'Versus'. I'm sick of seeing my costumed superhero idols punching one another recently, why should it happen to my favourite rock-based ones as well?

It's about time that Amethyst realized her own self sabotage, rather fitting as it's been ages since her own centered episode. And with each one, they're leaning further and further into the handicapped metaphor.

Huh. And here I thought Battle Damaged Steven in the SoS poster meant excrement was going to get real (though it still might). Turns out it was him and Amethyst trying see who sucked most.

Still a pretty good episode. Though I wish Amethyst getting the spotlight didn't always mean such deep drama. Though considering her issues and that she's usually the goofball, I suppose it's the best time for it. Plus, she got Steven to use a new power, so there's that.

Though I wish Steven had reminded her of how easily she took down that monster before falling victim to the Shonen Jump Effect. That might've cheered up. Nice to see Lonely Blade again though (guess it's the #1 Japanese franchise around here).

And bonus geek points to those who got the reference on the controller! 

I feel like we need more closure for Amethyst! After Crack The Whip, I thought we would've gotten somewhere, but Steven vs. Amethyst didn't really go anywhere. I think if you compare Amethyst now to how she was in the past, she seems almost weaker, I mean she couldn't even hardly lift up that rock! I think after jasper bullying her about her size, has gotten to her head, subconsciously limiting her own ability. I don't know how they are going to help her over come that, but they NEED to!

For those who are also fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I think they basically need to unlock Amethyst's chakras!

Steven actually fought someone, not fused with Connie. That's not really happened.

When Amethyst slammed Steven into the arena floor. Wow. He's may be part gem, but he's part human, too.

Pearl appears just after it's all over. Would've been interesting if she showed-up mid fight. I think she instinctively would've defended Steven.

So can Steven's spit heal the sky arena? LOL.

Let's hope "Bismuth" gives Garnet something to do. She's been a bit player for the last 13 episodes!
