That was equal parts a hoot, cool, and stirring. Also, notch another one on the "Everyone's going to Sing!" list. 

I never thought about Connie's personal life being effected by her time with Steven & the Gems, Buffy-style, but I guess we should've been concerned about something like this. Her mom's certainly going to flip. At least they worked things out. Though I fear fans will start rumors about a love triangle... 

More appropriate is dealing with Steven's mounting issue. I was worried all these near death experiences--which seem to have led to some big guilt issues--would effect his sunny disposition...so it's nice they addressed that and dealt with it for the time being. 

And who else got total anime vibes from the song and the fall? 
("I remember you and your little bracelet!")

I loved this episode and nice seeing Garnet help with their education. I loved the song.

I liked Amethyst's role in this episode...which no role. 

Steven looks goofy bald.

We did get to see Bismuth again...sort of.

Pearl's what's happening? type reaction seemed odd considering she's been fused enough time to know they can come apart for emotional reasons (Alexandrite almost did in Super Watermelon Island). But that's Pearl and also no one telling her what's going on...common thing for this show. We see that Connie didn't know who Bismuth was. Connie never saw her, it seems, but did Steven even tell her about it?

Odd starless ending.

It was an ok episode, but I didn't like the song. It was too high. Was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I for one loved the song. It felt appropriate and powerful in a very personal way (to the character of Garnet, but to myself too), as well as furthering my understanding of fusion within the context of the show and of Stevonnie. The visuals were beautiful, and it makes me think of the balance Garnet has achieved, how one of a kind it must be for gems.

Gems are immortal, they come out ready and with a purpose, which I believe makes detachment so much easier, whereas being human itself brings so many different layers to fusion... it's also a great analogy to governing our internal struggles, not breaking down.

So exited for another song, and it seemed like a different style than usual which was nice! And I must say, I'm a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, and this completely reminded me of The Guru episode! Idk if anyone else thought of that? But it was nice to see the show touch on the way Steven feels about all the things he's encountered, since we really don't see the crystal gems or Greg talking to much to him about how all this affects him...

i thought him crying at the end of Bubbled was already indicative of him coming to terms with the messed up stuff happening to him in rapid succession, including understanding how sometimes you can't redeem everyone.

this episode seems a little regressive on steven's side when he went gonzo about jasper/bismuth/the rubies etc. It should've been more about focusing on stevonnie as a character, and bringing connie up to speed on the events that took place with smokey quart, jasper and so on.

I disagree. I just finished rewatching the series and I thought this episode works pretty well after Bubbled. I saw the crying as them just being happy to find each other again (All the Gems were doing it). And Bubble does end with Steven's image of his mother being shattered. The final image of Steven holding his gem and sighing seems like he is holding back his emotions.

How is it "regressive"? You don't just get over issues that big in one episode, this show has shown us that time and time again.

Steven was crying because he was relieved that he was reunited with the Gems, and you know, not dead.

he clearly wasn't bottling things up because he told everyone what happened about bismuth, he was there with amethyst and peridot dealing with jasper, and him crying and accepting the fact that his mom did what she had to do against pink diamond are not indicative of him hiding or repressing anything. the first 3 episodes of season 4 also show him as jovial as can be.

Guess I will now do some reviews here and another forum website. These are my opinions based on the live tweets (Not applied if I don't live tweet them if I missed the episodes when they premiere):

So one of the co-writers and storyboard artists for this episode worked for anime.

Garnet is actually watching Steven and Connie fight as Stevonnie. Priceless especially her reactions.

Connie hurt a kid at school? Like Steven said it must been by accident.

A song performed by Estelle (Garnet) herself is always a thumbs up. I loved it as much as I did with Stronger Than You.

So this song sequence is animated by Takafumi Hori I assume? It has some nice visuals.

This episode was pretty cool. It had some of the best visual I've seen. Also had some awesome song which is as amazing as Stronger Than You and the songs from Mr Greg. I'll easily give this a perfect score (10/10). Best episode of the 4th season so far.
