I like that Mowgli gets physically wounded
He bleeds, bruised, stung by bees, Shere Khan scratches him, he struggles, gets dirty, he's a survivor, etc.
Mowgli is still human..
Older post but I thought I'd point out that I felt the same when watching this. I was glad that it showed some of the struggle he went through in the jungle and didn't always come out unscathed like your typical movie hero.
