What could have made the finale so much better

During the courtroom scene while Saul was trying to speak Kim has a fantasy that she just flat out kills Saul right then and there after all that's happened to her because of him...then she hears him admitting everything and lying about Kim to get her to appear in the courtroom and the fantasy ends and she forgives him.

I still don't understand what Jimmy did that got Kim out of any accountability in a civil case for Howards death - what am I missing?

If she can still be found guilty, then her life is pretty much ruined so I would have much preferred an ending where there isn't any speculation about what happens in the future to either one of them.

I'm not saying I don't get the ending, it's just not the one I wanted.

Maybe watch it again and pay attention?

Saul under oath testified at the end that Kim had nothing to do with it.

And Kim also signed an affidavit that said she was involved - before Jimmy's hearing. Not sure that his word means more than hers?

And no need to be a smart ass.

You need to watch it again and pay attention, all he did was retract the new lies he made up (which were a way to get her to come to the courtroom). Nothing he said nullifies her previous confession or changes the potential of winning a civil case.

Peter Gould even said nothing he did changes Kim's case (duh).
