I have to confess.....

After watching Breaking Bad and learning of a potential series involving the Saul character, I thought for sure it would be a huge stinking turd. How wrong I was.

In some ways, I believe BCS is better than BB and the only reason for that is because one has to think of BB as a sort of attempt to tell a story in a different way - kind of like watching a child learn his or her first steps.

It also makes me wonder what the next act will be for the creators of BB and BCS.

The next act will be a Mike Ehrmantraut prequel, where he plays a 75-year-old rookie cop in Philadelphia.

I'm telling you it'll be Walt Jr running a pancake racket in New Mexico and will try to take over the IHOP franchise.

😄

60 year old Dean Norris also features as a teenager with aspirations of working for the DEA.

I have to confess....

The first 2 or so seasons of BCS, I didn't really like. After that, it's been one of my favorites, maybe passing BB. Never been more stoked to see what happens in the next episodes.

I feel more emotionally invested in BCS. It deals with a more relatable type of moral ambiguity. I’m never going to cook meth—- but I might do something a teensy bit dishonest if I think I could get away with it. It is a slippery slope.

Maybe they should continue the story with Kim without Jimmy.

I hope they move on to something else and leave the BB/BCS universe alone. They are clearly talented writers/creators who can be good at whatever type of show they put their name to. Have loved BCS and liked the spin off Jesse movie but this universe is done now. Anything more might be overkill.
