The most intense moment in the show so far

Excellent job all around by Saul, Kim, and Lalo. Absolutely incredible scene. Even though I think Gilligan has more plans for Kim other than killing her off (vacuum salesman, "I hate you I never want to see you again, don't ever talk about me again" type of argument, etc), you really felt for her in that scene knowing that it was definitely possible she could be shot in the head and it would be over immediately.

I legitimately thought Kim stood a very high chance of dying, as soon as she interjected between Lalo and Saul I thought Lalo was either going to put a gun to her head to coerce Saul into talking or just shoot her. Great acting though, that was the most suspense I have felt since Season 5B of Breaking Bad. Now we know "something unforgivable" is going to happen in the next episode.

Yea that was good, also thought he was going to check the bag for the money when he was told to check the bag and then find the cup with the bullet hole on it lol

You know, I thought she was going to get shot right there when the door knocked and she was in the hallway looking at Saul scared. I thought NOOOOOOOOOOOO as I was expecting a bang and her to fall to the floor then Lalo to appear. Thank goodness that didn't happen. So intense.

Yes it was intense wasn’t it, that whole scene was just done so incredibly well. Great acting on all sides. Lalo just gives off so much menace it’s unbelievable, he reminds me of Joe Pesci’s character in Goodfellas. Like a few people here have said I was fully expecting Lalo to whip out his gun and kill Kim there and then. That certainly would’ve been very tragic and extremely emotional! I didn’t expect him to walk away like he did.

This series goes from strength to strength.

Where did the actor who plays Lalo come from anyway? He's like 40 and Better Call Saul is the first time I have seen him.

I hope he gets noticed for other roles in the future.

reply

I’m not sure but yes he’s very good i agree. He’s not the only one though, acting in this show is pretty much top notch across the board! I always say that if the actors have the right material to work with then that makes such a difference. Great stuff.

He looks older than 40, he looks closer to 50. I agree he is good. So the actor´s name is Tony Dalton and is 45 apparently.

he's been acting on HBO's LatinoAmerica. He played a hitman for 5 seasons on a show called Señor Avila. And plenty before that in Mexico on screen and stage.
