Where are they going with Kim?
She gets tired of the law and turns to a life of crime?
shareShe has a sex change operation to turn into Paul Newman
shareAll them cops and lawyers are the worst criminals - everyone knows that!
shareShe is getting burned out on having just 1 client and it is causing her to become self-destructive. She doesn't talk to Jimmy about it very much because after what they did to Chuck, she wants him to see her as successful professionally. Because she believes Chuck stealing her case is a big reason why Jimmy turned against his brother. Jimmy can wake up on any given day and get a new opportunity, and as far as she knows, he's doing it straight up with no scamming. But she is stuck with the 1 client she goes above and beyond for, when she could really use that energy on new stuff.
shareShe's slipping, too. Her accident may have made her think if this is all worth it? She's trying to support both Jimmy and herself. Witness the scene where the Mesa Verde man explains their expansion and she's not following. And her attending the criminal law cases is leading to something.
shareCorporate law is super boring, but pays super well. ... she's bored.
shareShe feels sad over Chucks death and she is trying to understand what is going on in Jimmy's head. Eventually she will realize that Jimmy, while good in his heart to a point, just uses people and really is looking for the easy path to success.
but.......
She knows he was pushed to this path by his brother, who held him back for years. She will will eventually learn that Jimmy has been a scamster his whole life.
As a Mea Culpa to the Breaking Bad fans, they have her embrace this lifestyle and using the law the way Jimmy does....the way many people wanted Skylar White to become Walters partner and embrace his meth empire.
Eventually this will destroy her, as a plot point in the show and that will be the final nail that drives Jimmy to Saul
