So what are the odds that Ernesto is related to Fring in some way........

.........and that Chuck's tape that Ernesto heard comes to Fring's attention and Fring somehow uses his advantage?

FWIW, I believe this is the first episode he has been referred to as "Ernesto"

Every other time he has been known as simply Ernie.

You know I actually wondered this too , when they said Ernesto, it for some reason reminded me of Gustavo. We don't know Ernie's last name but I would love some kind of connection.

Gus was originally from Chile and then went to Mexico before immigrating to the US. So he would be first generation American, but would he have been int he US long enough for a son Ernie's age to be born here?
Wikipedia says "Gus claims to have children, yet they have never been seen onscreen and little else about his family life has been revealed. "

You might be on to something! I would love it if they were related. I feel sorry for Chuck but he is such a jerk to Jimmy and I love Jimmy. Chuck is so self righteous that he needs a comeuppance from someone like Gus Fring.

I think it's more the fact that they are black and both have Spanish first names and live in a mostly white neighborhood that made the person jump to this potential link. At least I hope so.
