Not a fan of romcoms, but I hope they really lean into some of the most un-PC tropes of the genre.

You know, the celebration of capitalism, consumerism and materialistic themes. Not necessarily because I agree with it - I just prefer movies that take risks. With that title and set in NYC, maybe they will - even if it's done in a half ironic way.

We already had a "celebration of capitalism and materialism" movie. It was called Barbie, and we don't need another.

Those are two terrible ideas that are definitely not worth celebrating.

The last time I Saw Dakota Johnson in a Romantic Comedy it was "How to Be Single". Like a lot of movies in the genre had to have an Agenda with the Feminist ending and her dating a black guy.
