shareIn a couple of episodes Willy believes he is being watched by the monster they're hunting while working on the trap. In most episodes the traps that are being built take 2 days on location to be built and a lot of them use a tractor/excavator, meaning there's a lot of noise and evidence humans were in the area. The monsters aren't going to go right up to it but watch/observe from a distance and in some cases the monsters knew how to go around or circumvent the trap trigger and still get the bait. So the monsters are paying attention to it being built or are intelligent enough to know not to follow the easiest path when they find something complex and out of the ordinary.
You right I can't feed my Deer, Corn or Salt without them staying away for a few days.
In a way I can't blame Willy.
I get to play with heavy equipment for free @ production staff cost!! Or story wise :) Trappers credit card.
Of course, I am going take full advantage of it.
Notice Willy sure moved up vehicle wise from his old small blue Blazer at start of there show to brand new full size trucks with all the new tool box's & hunting dog box's.
Poor wild Bill still driving older vehicles.
But too them traps do appears take lot of work to build. Lot harder than riding around in them side by side Atv's.
God help me but I do enjoy watching there show. Funny, Interesting, Watch see what they will do next.
Next year we just might find out Bigfoot will be using GPS on them. lol :) He got river maps & got fire cooking his food now.
Bill seems like the type of person who doesn't need to flaunt his success to people. He is a retired marine so he has some sort of pension/retirement package and most likely sees the TV money as a rainy day fund or something to give to the kids.
Looking at 3 founding members it's easy to see that Trapper, John Tice, is the purse of the organization and Willy/Jeff were there to do the leg work in their fields. Trapper's time in the NFL and the time he spent in the various coaching positions let him build quite a nest egg and he found it in himself to use it for the search for cryptids.
I think Willy and Bill get the short end of the stick in the operation. They work hours to build a trap during the day and then have to join the rest of the team for the night hunt. While it isn't hard to walk around or be in a side by side it is when you have already put a lot of effort in before hand.
Next season will have the Bigfoot throwing spears, they're already throwing rocks, stumps and dropping trees on them. So spears are the next best logical step up.
