People not affiliated with the movie watch it and the real score starts emerging. Unless noone else sees it at this point - the score will probably drop significantly.

shareI personally haven't seen it, nor have I rated it for the very same reason. The comments I have made are related to fake reviews and shilling. I don't mind people involved in the movie commenting and talking about it - on the contrary that is appreciated. The shilling and fake reviews are always obvious and just results in accumulating badwill for the people involved rather than giving them a chance. It's always obvious and can also be concluded by looking at the ratings breakdown. A normal spread takes the form of a bell (hence the term bellcurve). A manipulated one looks different with an over representation of 10's and 9's as well as 1's. Most of the 1's are a reaction to the fake 10's and not indicative of a real rating, but hyping up a movie also tends to leave people with unrealistic expectations that can't be lived up to thus leading to a lower rating than one might have left if the expectations were lower.
This is all obvious and if I sound like a pompous idiot saying it, it's because clearly it still happens. It's hilarious.
