Mel B
Ashanti
Eve
Monica

My vote is for Mel B or Monica.

Eve!
The others seem boring

MEL B!!!! Fun, smart, talented, and I loved when she co-hosted the show. She is my pick.

reply

Not really pleased with any of them but maybe Mel B.

Say what you will about Tamar, she brought "edge" to the panel. Keep in mind this is a television show where the audience must be engaged (positively or negatively) for it to last. Without Tamar, the panel doesn't have that grit, that swag, that edge. I think the replacement would have to bring some 'tude with her (maybe not over the top as Tamar ended to be sometimes). With that said, I think Mel B would be a perfect choice. I think Tisha Campbell-Martin brings the right amount of edge and intelligence. Or even Sheryl Lee Ralph (although I fear she may be far too busy and a little older than the demographics of the show). That leaves us with Ashanti, Eve or Monica (please Lord, don't let it be Ashanti). For youth, intelligence and edge, one would choose Eve; but, for watchability, hands down it is Monica. She'll bring swag, grit and heart to the panel (we'll have to see about intellect and chemistry).

These are my thoughts and those are my picks...although it doesn't really matter to me, I won't be watching without Tamar (LOL).

At least give it a try when they come back, king. You might like it... or not. 

Eve lives in London
Ashanti....no
Monica too hood and she's friends with Tamar
Mel B is the only one left and I'm not feeling her

I hope they don't do try-outs for the new host as soon as the season starts up. I'm looking forward to shows with the four remaining co-hosts.

Kiki Palmer

Keke denied rumors that she was in the running a few months ago. I think it would be nice to have a single/casual dating 20-something co-host, but I can't think of any candidates at the moment.

Wonder how they will address the elephant in the room

They shouldn't say a word about it. They've all voiced their disappointment over Tamar's firing and wished her well in interviews, but it apparently bothers her so much when they "keep her name in their mouths" so it's best to just come back and keep it movin'. I wouldn't give Tamar the satisfaction of saying boo about her ever again so she can run back on her social media and deliver another melodramatic monologue about how she's so over the hosts. Nope.

I see what you're say,but at the same time this is 'The Real' and they base the show on being honest and transparent. All the *beep* Tamar talked about them had to make them feel some kind of way that they couldn't express in interviews. Loni did an interview and said that it was extremely stressful on Adrienne and Jeannie.

reply

Although they couldn't express their real feelings about Tamar in interviews, I'm sure they let it all out for some "kitchen table talk" amongst themselves (I'd love to be a fly on that wall!). I think it's best for them to ignore it, because it shows how wrong and big of a baby Tamar is for the umpteenth time. There's not much left to say other than "we had nothing to do with Tamar's firing and it hurt us that she blamed us for it" and Tamar doesn't deserve another moment of their conversation or time. She's old news in terms of this show and it's best to just move on and let all that mess finally die.

The last episode I watched was right after Prince passed, and Tamar was talking about suing him because he had a protege named Tamar,as well. With that said,I know that Tamar was still in a few of the taped shows even after she was fired, but did The Real air episodes after without her,up to the season finale? If so,did they address her firing on the show.

Where I'm going with this is that I agree they most likely discussed it among themselves, but I feel like they owe the audience/viewers some closure. They were her friends, they were at her house, they were on the 'Tamar and Vince' show. To have somebody stab you in the back like that had to hurt. I don't feel like they have to spend the whole 'girl chat' segement or the whole show talking about it,but address it real quick, then move on.

Tamar wasn't told she was fired until after they stopped filming. TPTB must've known she couldn't be trusted to remain professional and bow out gracefully if she were informed ahead of time. There were a few episodes where she was away, but the other hosts said she had the day off or was resting at home, but it sounded like they really thought she'd be back for good.

I understand. Now I'm even more interested to see how they'll handle that (or if they even address Tamar's mess and lies) on the show the week after next. I saw Adrienne on another talk show last week and they didn't ask her about Tamar. She was all smiles, but I remember Loni saying Adrienne and Jeannie were the most hurt.

Replacement? I thought this show would be cancelled by now...

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

Same thing I thought about The View but that mess is still on for some strange reason....

I would love to see Tisha Campbell or Nicole Ari Parker as guest hosts. They were so funny together on Real Husbands. People have mentioned they are looking for someone younger so how about Christina Milian?

Only if she doesn't sit there crying about Lil' Wayne cheating on her for the umpteenth time during Girl Chat. I saw a clip of her doing that on her reality show and all I could do was . A mess.
