Okay, I get the wife didn't have time to hit the panic button when her husband broke into the house. But why didn't the daughter hit it when the husband chased the wife outside?

I didn't get it. There are so many women w/less options, but she
controlled the money. When she had power, she didn't use it.
She was worried about the stigma more than her own ass, but
everyone already knew! She almost died of shame and took Angela w/her.
I'm glad it didn't turn out that way.
