Well those last 5 minutes of ep. 2 were brilliantly done...so I am very hopeful.

Different than Banshee in many ways of course but in many ways similar - which is a good thing!

This doesn't seem anything like Banshee to me. Banshee was outlandish, like a pulp comic come to life. Quarry (so far) is much more grounded. They're both violent. That's the only real similarity.

Thank you. Banshee strained my suspension of disbelief to the point it was unwatchable for me. If it was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek there certainly wasn't enough humor in it to support that.
