Damn good show
No matter how unlikable the husband and wife are; you still end up rooting for them and do it together. Excellent writing, superb acting and chaotic moments of violence keep this show moving right along.

shareAgreed.
Just when things start to get idle - something happens to grab our attention.
Totally agree larosat.
Episode 4, with the heavy emphasis on the husband and wife relationship, could have easily been a bust. But the writing and acting were top notch. Best episode thus far.
Yep. Loving it! Excellent drama with top notch acting. The tension, nuance and realism in the dynamics of their relationship is actually quite amazing. Even the quieter moments are 'edgy' and 'full' because the characters are so well constructed that you really get a strong sense of what they're feeling and thinking. I'm glad so much has been put into bringing them alive as 'real people' in a 'real relationship' with all of its confusing elements of love, fear and anger, in a particularly confusing period of history where big change was brewing.
The early 70s are not that greatly explored in modern dramatic film/televsion, so it is great that this is a high quality production set in those times. I think a lot of people just blow off the 70s as a boring era where everyone dressed really badly, but it was far more than that. It was like the era of a kind of death of innocence and I think this is being captured well here.
Indeed it is. Great character developement so far. Finally felt for the wife and what she went through.
shareIndeed!
I figured this channel would go to hell after Banshee ended. Much to my surprise, we get another hit! Good job, GY.
This show is pretty amazing.
