Possible unpopular opinion but episode 4 best yet???

I gather people didn't really take to the episode due to it's enclosed setting and character driven story (meaning lots of talking and looks)

But i honestly LOOOOOOOOOOVED that episode

It reminded me of a very (unfairly) unpopular Banshee episode - 'The Truth About Unicorns'

It had a similar structure - focusing on the two major characters who have things they want to get off their chest whilst also being followed by someone

Logan Marshall Green and Jodi Balfour were both FANTASTIC in the episode IMHO and it was a perfect set up for the rest of the season now that Joni knows the truth

I am honestly loving this show so far - it definitely has a 'Banshee' feel to it - i can't see it overtaking Banshee, but it's a pretty good replacement

I hope others think the same about the episode but i have a feeling people will just say it was dull, boring, slow, didn't move the plot along, predictable etc etc etc

agree that episode 4 was fantastic. Best episode of the season thus far.

But I don't think that it's a minority opinion here. Episode has been well received

Had some Rectify-levels of cinematic qualities.

This episode was my personal favorite for Banshee. The tone throughout and the imagery during the final showdown were fantastic.

I also really liked this episode in Quarry. Very tense.

I loved Unicorns - one of those episodes that i have no idea where the hate comes from

Your icon is of The Leftovers. Oh, I love that show.

Anyway, yes, I thought episode four was great. I loved the ending.

Very good episode of a show getting better and better as the world gets fleshed out.

Didn't love the fact they killed Harlow. I thought it was a tad predictable but Bill Irwin (and the writing for his character) killed it from start to finish. His words meant something and I hope his death is more than a dude Quarry met along his path. Hopefully his death gives him some clarity or purpose going forward - otherwise it was a little cheap. The end result could have been the same without killing that character.

I liked it a lot. But I did miss the Broker and Buddy.

I thought episode 3 was the best so far. Episode 2 was great as well. I won't say I disliked 4 because I really enjoyed it. This past episode was the most boring, but set up some good character relationships, especially with the Broker and Quarry as well as the racial theme.

THERES NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!!

The Truth About Unicorns was a bit of a departure for Banshee but I found it to be very moving and beautiful.

I also enjoyed ep 4 of Quarry. I had wondered why "Quarry" returned for a second tour in Vietnam and was glad to see it addressed effectively. I was expecting the pat "My men needed me" answer and was happy when Mac finally opened up to Joni.

The ep definitely did something to me that doesn't happen very often. I was actually quite saddened when the hotel owner died. That rarely happens to me concerning guest characters.

Here we go again. Ep 4 was not a good episode compared to the rest. Practically nothing happened. Some good writing, especially dealing with the Broker saved it but the story came to a standstill. The Banshee Unicorn episode ( despite having strong competition in the 4th season ) was the absolute worst.

Whoops my mistake. As referring to ep 5 of Quarry. Ep 4 was indeed excellent and probably the best.
