for many reasons: cast, writing, era, story progression, stays away from repeatedly rehashed H-wood plot devices, and of course the struggle of the quarry character. What I really love is seeing Peter Mullan as this awesome character, Damon Herriman in his bad-ass character, and always love seeing the gorgeous Irish beauty Aoibhinn McGinnity in anything she does. She was absolutely awesome in Love/Hate.

I worked many TV shows and Did period piece movies but this is the BEST looking TV show or feature to capture a real time piece, the clothes, cars, hair, music, is all perfect, add in the great writing and acting and this show is a 10, and I'm a tough critic. It just gets better and better, the stuff with the broker's gay henchman and his mom, is so good it's a story worthy of its own show, amazing show!
