A question about something...SPOILERS INVOLVED!!!

I only saw the last episode, but knew a little about the series and gleaned the rest pretty much from what I watched in that last episode. I wish I would have watched it sooner.

The question is this. In the Wikipedia article, it says that Arthur turned the Broker down, so why is it that Mac had to repay 30K that Arthur supposedly owed? Did Arthur take 30K for a job and not do it?

Mac turned down The Broker. Arthur accepted and talked Mac in going along to help on his first job. Arthur was ambushed and killed while attempting the hit and Mac finished the hit, but the ambusher got away (thus providing a story arc of Mac trying to track him down).edit: Or maybe Mac killed the ambusher and had to track down the target - I can see I'm going to have to re-watch.The $30K was for that job and others to follow. Mac had to do more jobs to pay off The Broker so he wouldn't go after Arthur's family. \\|// (o o) ------oOOo-(_)-oOOo------

I knew about the Arthur being gunned down and creating the story arc, but I'm still trying to figure out why 30K was owed by Arthur, then Mac by proxy, when it was never paid out in the first place.

Did the broker blame Arthur for something going wrong and basically charged him, and again, Mac by proxy (so Arthur's family was safe), for the mistake?

The $30K was for the first hit and an advance on future hits. No future hits = Arthur's family owes The Broker a refund. \\|// (o o) ------oOOo-(_)-oOOo------

Ah. So the broker actually did give Arthur the 30K. I didn't think he ever gave it to him. That's where I was erring. I get it now.

Thanks for the help. Watching the episodes would have cleared it up, but I'm impatient. LOL.

AHHHH. I was wondering what was going on there. I didn't know if he had stolen it from a drug dealer or something, but that makes even more sense, now. Thanks for the extra tidbit.

Maybe after I watch it I will edit the Wikipedia page so it isn't so confusing. It makes it sound like he never received any money, so that's what was so confusing. I won't do it until after watching the episode, though.
