So can anyone clarify what that lump is on LMG's head (Finale Spoilers)

I have seen Logan Marshall-Green in several shows and movies and not once have i noticed that big lump/spot in the middle of his forehead

So i thought it was part of the Mac character - like something happened to him in Nam that caused it (something bad happening in Nam was teased in the pilot)

But then the finale rolls around - shows us the flashback of him in Nam and nothing happened to him physically

So it's obviously real - no make-up, not made for the show

Is there anyone that can give me an explanation on what it is

I know it is a trivial thing (and countless othere people have mentioned it) but it just seems like it has come out of nowhere - like an accident he had before filming this and after The Invitation (the latest film i have seen him in)

The finale was great, that Nam scene was awesome and throughout the episode i was wondering why they didn't show the flashbacks throughout the series (a la Arrow) but after that scene, i got my answer

I like that it leaves the door open for a renewal whilst also giving us enough closure that if it were to be cancelled - it would be a fine ending

A second head growing

I think it's an inflamed vein. You can see it swell up even more when he's playing an intense scene and I think it's grown over time. It's similar to when the vein in someone's neck swells up when they are straining.

I doubt that. Van Damme has a similar lump. A possible permanent injury or growth.

reply

I can't say for sure but it may be a cyst that developed right before filming and LMG held off on having it surgically removed until after they finished filming.

My guess is the Lump probably won't be back for Season 2.

I noticed the lump in his head, too. It's distracting.

I wish they would have cast a more charismatic actor as Quarry, but otherwise, I am loving this show. In terms of new shows, it is the best I have seen all year. I am less upset with Greg Yaitanes for the abomination that was season 4 of Banshee.

I'm at episode 5 (so didn't read all of your post as you mentioned the finale) but it's starting to bug me enough to pause the episode and come here to see if anyone else commented.

People often have lumps like that on their foreheads. They’re not usually in such a prominent place tho. If you look at men’s faces on TV, you’ll begin to notice most people have them.

I like to think LMG will cut into the lump and Athena will spring forth from it already fully formed as an adult.

Maybe a colony of baby spiders will burst out.

It;s funny the amount of people keep asking about this thing on his head, as if it shas just appeared. Check any photograph of the guy and you will notice that he has always had this, although it is slightly more prominent now than in the past. If you watched Green in the Invitation like you said you did you will have noticed that he has the lump in full force.

reply

I didn't notice it in Prometheus. I didn't notice it at all until this show.

I think it might be a lipoma. Not a very common place for it, fatty lumps under the skin are usually found on the arms and legs.
If he were to have it removed it would leave a very noticable scar, so maybe he rather have the lump.

reply

Cyst maybe. Easy to remove. Nasty too.

Maybe they can do a crossover episode with pure genius.

My Chimp DNA seems to have lost its password temporarily. Sluggr-2
