What is it with the Cinemax protagonists and their foreheads. Hood had an indentation and Quarry has a growth that could be a second head. In all seriousness, great first episode with good character development, intense thrills, good twists and shocks ( some expected, some not ) and a story to look forward too. We are hooked!!
Haha! I noticed that, too. Though, I swear I've seen that guy in other things and that wasn't there. Maybe he just had a goose egg and it's not permanent?? Great first ep, though! I'm really excited about this one!
"I would worry less about the gods and more about the fury of a patient man."
there are scenes where it is not apparent too, could have been different days of shooting, the real test will be if it is still there next week, as pilots are often shot well in advanced of the rest of the season, (as to get approval)
I've never noticed it before, but damn, that thing should be given a speaking role. Gotta be someway of scooping it out of his skull.
I've been a fan of the actor since Dark Blue and I had never noticed it either. Going back through some images it's not apparent in older ones so I have to think it's a relatively recent development. It was distracting, as I kept waiting for it to be mentioned in the story in some way to explain its presence.

My husband has one of those bumps. He asked a doctor about removing it, and the doc said "Well, then you'll just have a crater instead of a bump." So the bump is still there.
That's true. It's been at least ten years. He's had the bump for 50 years and is okay with it. He usually wears a cap, so it's not something that people point and stare at when he's out and about. :-)
True Story. I knew of someone years back who used to drink a lot. Total full blown alcoholic. Every so often he would have one of those bumps on his forehead. Someone saw him drinking and passing out falling flat on his face.
He has the "bump" in his profile page top photo. I believe it's a cyst. Sometimes removal of those can cause problems. At the very least, the actor should have a biopsy done, to see if the "bump" can be safely removed. Sometimes they are cancerous. I write this from experience.
It's a mildly disturbing element visually. Much more distracting IMHO is his greasy hair, hanging wherever it falls. He just looks generally dirty and unkempt. I hope they will clean him up as the series rolls on. The Broker (the always great, always menacing Peter Mullan!) is a sharp dressed man. Maybe he'll get the guy spiffed up.
