Butter Coffee?

Was that the trend in the 80s till whip-cream got invented???

It was floating !!!

reply

The show is set in 1972.

And I'll bet this episode made some people try butter in their coffee this morning (a.k.a. "Bulletproof Coffee"), curiosity gets the best of us! LOL

reply

Craap ,, that's oolllddd

reply

So... Did anyone try? How the *beep* does it taste!?!?!?

reply

It's actually a part of a diet called "Bulletproof Coffee", you can watch how its made on youtube.

reply

Tried it. If you already use cream butter doesn't improve it particularly, just makes it more oily, not to mention caloric. Better to just use heavier cream if you want a richer flavour.

reply

It is supposed to make the caffeine last longer. Plus edgar cayce said creamer turns into leather in your stomach. He actually advised plain ol black coffee.

reply

It wouldn't surprise me if it's healthier that way.

reply

Why do you need to use foul language to discuss this?

_______
"if seagal was thinner this could have been a theatrical product."

reply

I'm gonna try something.

reply

Someone please tell us is it any good lol.

In Vino Veritas.

reply

I tried it. Tasted like coffee with cream, but it left an oily feeling on my lips and tongue. I'm going to stick with straight, black coffee. \\|// (o o) ------oOOo-(_)-oOOo------

reply

I've heard of it done in hot tea, mainly in England.

reply

Butter in Tea? I have never ever heard or seen that in the UK. Milk is the most common, cream never, possibly a slice of lemon blend dependent, but butter? never. If had to have tea it would be straight up. Can ou share some sources please? I am curious now

reply

Meh. Hipsters tired to reintroduce butter coffee in my city about two years ago. They were charging $8 for "paleo butter coffee"

reply

Ugh, just watching that made my heart hurt.

reply

If you use the amount that was used in the show, on a regular basis, your lipids will be off the charts!

reply

I love it. I wish Starbucks offered it as an option in their stores.
