So horribly below average.

I understand that the film is not meant to be an exploration of Stephen Hawking's ideas about time and space etc and is based around his relationship with Jane - but the film did a terrible job at exploring the relationship. I didn't once feel for any of the characters despite them being non-fictional. The romance aspect wasn't there, the drama felt incredibly flat despite the film trying it's hardest to be an exploration of their love and his career.

5/10.

I wanted to like this but not even the end credits were anything special. The soundtrack, however, was fantastic.
