The Theory of Everything: Great Leads Almost Save a Struggling Biopic

“The Theory of Everything” features incredible Oscar-nominated performances from Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, but ultimately it’s unable to strike a good balance between Stephen Hawking’s personal and professional life, leading to a relationship-focused middle act that hurts the film more than it helps it.

the film is a reasonably accurate version of the book on which it is based, which is jane hawking's memoir of their marriage. i thought it was on the whole very good.
