As a guy, this movie makes you want to be in love again. Felicity is so beautiful and sweet and supportive through everything he goes through.

sharethe third child was undoubtedly hawking's. jane's relationship with Jonathan did not become physical until some time later. jane had a very hard time looking after Stephen, and it isn't really surprising athat eventually she found comfort elsewhere. Looking after a severely disabled person must be very stressful. and she did look after him for many years before Jonathan came on the scene.
shareYour bitterness seems to have clouded the last 1/3 of the movie for you. She didn't cheat on him, Stephen gave her permission to start a relationship with John because of his disability and she didn't even go after him until they were divorced. Stephen was the one who left Jane for his nurse.

I know I'm a bit late here, but in the scene she comes to Jonathan and tells him she's pregnant, and that is important because his reaction is "I didn't know you guys still did it." And that's not a direct quote but he says something along those lines.
Stephen said that she should take Jonathan on that camping trip. I would say that he implied she should go for it, basically. He probably understood she wasn't that happy and needed it. Although that was the only time she was "cheating." Jonathan then left them alone until they later broke up.

shareshe did begin a relationship with Jonathan while she was still with Stephen. and it undoubtedly was hard for stephen. he did leave her for one of his nurses, but her relationship with Jonathan did have something to do with it.
sharei own this film and even when it was on tv today, i sobbed and sobbed. i can never get through it with dry eyes.
