.. the trailer just look terrible. The story appears very derivative, and the "jokes" are just clumsy.
The trailer in no way makes me want to see this. A pity, given it has two actresses I enjoy watching.
If you buy a ticket for a remake, you are the problem, not Hollywood.

I think the vast majority of audiences agree with you.
The slice of the pie this film is trying to cut is pretty small. Their competitors in the theaters have huge built-in audience bases. A few die hard Witherspoon/Vergara fans will give this some dollars, but this will never make any serious money, and will fade away pretty quickly.
It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
