Justification for this to actually succeed? (Posssible rant)

There are people who actually want this to be successful even though the movie is pure garbage because it has female leads and female directed.

That is just sad because you are just putting more crap on the screen and not challenging the filmmakers to make better movies.

I'm for seeing women getting a shot in Hollywood along with other minorities but you cannot just accept bad filmmaking just to further the cause.

But, then again, some crappy female led movies are actually successful. (Maleficent, The Heat comes to mind)

It's in excusable to allow garbage on the screen and flood it just to gain foot in the door.

If you are not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
