They're both mediocre actresses and have yet to prove that they're even remotely good.

I don't know why Hollywood keeps choosing these talentless females when there are others out there who'd love to have a shot at it.

You don't understand Hollywood. Sofia Vergara looks like a porn star and can act a lot better than most porn stars, and she also has never sucked a dick on camera. Which makes her a MOVIE STAR. Melissa McCarthy is a funny fat girl. Hollywood has always made funny fat girls stars. Remember Roseanne Barr.

You've got a point that Vergara looks like a porn actress but as far as McCarthy goes she's just a fat woman, not actually funny.

McCarthy is funny? That's comedic.

I watched Spy last night and spoiler alert: Jason Statham was actually the comic relief in this whole mess of a movie.

Thanks, Paul Feig for another disastrous McCarthy movie.

McCarthy and Byrne's scenes together are cruelly hilarious, with the kind of no-holds-barred insult humor that makes you instinctively drop your jaw and cover your mouth.

Was Sofia that one girl who played Matt Damon's girlfriend in The Departed and then directed her own movie? If Sofia's the one I'm thinking about, then I have my answer to this match-up.

I've only seen Melissa in Tammy and she annoyed me in that movie.

EDIT: Never mind. I got Sofia Vergara and Vera Farmiga mixed up again. lol

We all know which of those two actresses has received an Oscar nomination. I have always found McCarthy to be much funnier than Sofia Vergara.
