So Kyle and April get shot multiple times but yet she finds the strength to reach into her pocket, pull out the ring and give it to Kyle. He then finds the strength to take it from her and put it on her finger. Then she mouths "I love you". Oy vey!

Yeah, it's not like the rest of the plot had to have any deniability of plausibility in it.
Aliens, abductions by aliens, getting killed by aliens, telekinesis, do I need to really go on?
Lest we forget they just happen to be thrown into the grave in a perfect spooning position.....

shareIndeed, the last 10 minutes of the film were completely unnecessary. Kill them, cut to credits. The will they/won't they live back and forth and the weird, hamfisted government-is-evil trope took it down to a 2 from a 5-6 for me.

"wayyyyy over their heads". Right. Only truly intelligent viewers could possibly have the comprehension required to dissect and interpret the incredibly complex message the directors are trying to convey with this movie. How very small minded and dimwitted of us all.
