Edited to say I laughed at your added rug comment, and I'm sure your GF would enjoy lying on the rug, rather than the corpse. Anyway, I'll have to watch the scene you're talking about again. I do seem to remember what looked like a large open area between trees, couldn't say for sure a lake was there though.
