that all of KDK's films deal with the subject of 'desire' and the myriad ways it determines the human being?

It is an small step from love/compassion to (self-)mutilation. It starts when the EGO, and all its projections, has its powerful call.

And he depicts the abyss between both quite beautifully, I find.
Well, it may be that the accent is too much on the 'mutilation side' ...

But then again this is the predominant behaviour of us humans, well observed KDK.

On the other side there is a entire industry (and films are a part of that) tickeling your pleasure aimed clitoris: A little bit of that and a little bit of this will keep you happy.

Well; I am well happy for KDK that he gets his movies made, movies that shows the other side of the spectrum, and invites us to see things with a different angle.

Most movies don't do that. Most movies stay 'in the box'; sharing them can be a pleasure but hardly illuminating on our existence. And this is what from ART I expect: to shine a little light back to my existence.
And no: I do not want to be entertained but learn how to be a better person, with every little thing I do, and if it is watching a movie ...

And KDK's films are very inviting to do so. That is why I like all of them, because of their brutal tenderness that reflect back on what we people are (capable of).
