So i saw this movie last night and i think it was a good B movie. The 1st act of the film was terrible but as soon as they got under water, i think it turned out better than i expected. I think with a better director and if mandy Moore's character wasn't annoying, it could be better. I'm not really sure about the mic thing (how they communicate with each other). I don't know the science behind that. I find this movie a lot more suspenseful than THE SHALLOWS.. though the latter was well made.
What do yoy think?

I really enjoyed it. I liked The Shallows as well, but this was scarier as it happened mostly underwater. This flick had much more realistic looking sharks, some never done before scenes, and it was a lot more frightening. Good shark flick.

In the Deep was surprisingly great. That said, The Reef tops it easily -- it was much more realistic, and nothing about it felt far-fetched ot unnecessarily exaggerated.

Of course claiming this beats Jaws must be a joke, but it is much better than I expected. Good suspense, better than average effects and a nice twist to the shark plot.

really cool movie was expecting the worse..but especially the end surprised me...

I kinda wished everyone died. They got happy far too easily over little successes. The ending was neat but the movie was a drag and cliched for the most part.
