Ezra's Mind Trick (Spoilers)

Ezra being so resistant to kill got a little annoying before, especially since it didn't always make sense, but now, it was great that the writers had him hold back. It really gave an impact when he was slaughtering people at the beginning of this episode. The mind trick on the walker driver was both awesome and horrifying. He took out the stormtroopers, but then forcing the driver to walk it off the ledge... That was just creepy to see. What a great show in Ezra's change, and that scene is my new favorite mind trick.

Agreed. Good job they did, turning him into more than just a one dimensional character. Don't like the haircut though.

reply

Yeah really not fond of the new hair on the teens this season.

reply

Yeah, he's definitely being lured by the dark side. The way he executed the stormtroopers one by one using the walker then walking it off the platform was not the Jedi way.

reply

Good the Jedi were eliminated because they couldn't adapt. Even withstanding for thousands of years they needed to see a bigger picture because of the ruthless Sith. I see Ezra more a grey Jedi than a Sith. Operating on his own without limitations will be a huge benefit. Kanan even reacted differently than I think the old Jedi masters would've when he found the holocron.

But since we didn't actually see the Walker trooper die, just fall off into the clouds, it'll never be good enough for that one negative Nancy who posts here that it's a kids show because they don't show the deaths. Ummm, no -- the Walker didn't hang in the air for a few seconds, pretend to walk, then fall with the storm tropper yelling, "AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!" and a big splat sound.

As we all know (sarcasm) on-screen deaths = adult! Yes, that's the one magical thing that transforms a series apparently.

It really killed me that Ezra only stunned his enemies in previous seasons. It really stunned me when I saw him kill his enemies in this season.
