Boba Fett to show up in Rebels?

Wouldn't it be cool to see Boba Fett again? Especially since he'd be about 27 years old right about now and making quite the reputation for himself. And hell, with Boba being a young man, they could totally have the actor who plays Rex, also voice the legendary bounty hunter.

Besides, Boba and Rex are practically twin brothers ;)

Imagine if Thrawn decides to think outside the box and hire an outside source to do some recon for him, like Vader did in TESB.

Besides, Boba Fett vs. Sabine, wouldn't that be an awesome fight?

I don't know... There is such a thing as too much fan service.

Too much fan service????

No such thing sir ;)

If the need for a bounty hunter arose, Boba appearing wouldn't be fan service, it would be common sense.

They all strive to deviate from the norm, but collectively swarm to be all the same.

i'd be more interested here than for Baby Boba in TCW.

imo

Boba will be defeated by Chopper. No thanks.

And even if Boba shows up, so what, we found out in the prequel he's a clone child, *shudder*, lost his menacing voice in Empire to a clonetrooper due to George's change, and one day will launch into the sarlacc pit by an accidental staff hit by a blind man in Jedi...

I suppose one day we'll get that Fett standalone movie to wrap up what happened in Jedi, but until then...

Please everyone, hear me out...

Imagine if Boba Fett and other bounty hunters were hired to hunt down the Ghost Crew, and Boba jumps at the chance to do so as he wants to hone his rep (one of the best bounty hunters according to SW legend) Boba hates the Jedi, but finds himself trying to find the courage to shoot Captain Rex as the aging clone represents what his father would look like now.

What if Boba and another bounty hunter were rivals and trying to score a huge sum of credits from the Empire.

That and Captain Rex is the man who Jango Fett could have been if he hadn't gotten mixed in with Count Dooku.

Maybe my idea was kinda lame, but I'm just trying to make the best out of the prequels.

Like em or hate em, the prequels exist and we can't change that.

That's actually kind of genius. The connection between Boba and Rex is almost too interesting to not explore for at least an episode.

Would Rex know Boba by name? Did the clones know Jango personally? Did they know he has a 'son'? There's a lot to explore there.

reply

I hope so. It'd be cool to see him in full costume

Jor, you made my day when you said my idea was genius, thank you bro :)

To answer your excellent questions, I believe Rex does know all about Boba, and here is what I've gathered from The Clone Wars series.

After Boba and those other bounty hunters tried to kill Mace, there was an investigation and they pieced it together that he was the "son" of the clone template. Captain Rex was pretty high up in rank, and a close comrade of Asoka (who helped Plo Koon find the bounty hunters) I'm sure she would have filled him in if he hadn't known already.

I bet he would know all about Boba, after that fiasco.

And even though he denied it when he was a boy, Boba knows deep down that those clones are his brothers and that he shares a connection with them. I think the reason why he wanted to shun them is because they reminded him too much of the father that he lost.

And yes Wolverine, it would also be cool to see Boba in full costume (and perhaps taking his helmet on and off like the clones did ;)
