Dürrenmatt
I know it's based on a book, but the plot is pretty reminding of Dürrenmatt's play "The Visit" where an old lady comes back to the place of her youth to take revenge for abuse suffered there as a child. Of course there are lots of differences and it's no rip off, but I'm pretty sure it's kind of an hommage, since there is a detail that is the same in both and very unlikely to happen just by chance. The little village is called DUNGatar in this film/book. The village in "The Visit" is called Güllen in the original. Güllen is a variation of the Swiss German word "Güllä" which means DUNG in Swiss German (animal feces used as manure). 😃
