why didn't the mice drown in the sorghum?
Wondering why the mice didn't sink into the sorghum...that stuff is like powdered sugar.

A combination of the fact that a mouse weighs virtually nothing and the load, such as it is, is spread over their four feet.
A man is far heavier with all the weight concentrated on two points.
Additionally in the film the man in question jumped from a significant height.
Check out a kitten walking on fresh snow. They're so light, they barely sink in. Now try to walk in the same snow. Different weight, different mass, different density.
