Got a sick feeling when...

SPOILERS (obviously)

I got a sick feeling when Teddy drowned in the sorghum. It was quite a surreal moment in the film. Initially (and not having read the book), I thought perhaps Teddy was either playing a joke on Tilly, or was ultimately just a figure of her imagination the whole time, characterizing her so-called 'curse'. But then the reality hit, that Teddy really was dead, and it felt almost as if someone had been killed in real life. An oddly powerful scene this was, from an oddly powerful movie. Glad I saw it :) Anyone else feel this way?

Me too, not the "Hollywood" ending I expected.
